🚀 Excited to share our latest executive summary report, The 5G Coverage Challenge in Brazil: Opportunities and Obstacles for Scalable Deployment. 🌐

Artifex Consulting has analyzed Brazil’s evolving 5G landscape. With rising demand for high-speed connectivity across São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasília, Goiânia, and beyond, we explore how Brazil can bridge the gap between potential and performance.

🔍 Key highlights:

- VIVO, TIM, and CLARO leading the charge in network speeds and coverage.

- 5G penetration on the rise, yet challenges remain in scalability and infrastructure deployment.

- Regional disparities in population density and urban planning present both hurdles and opportunities.

- Strategic insights for operators, tower companies, and policymakers aiming to unlock Brazil’s full digital potential.

📢 Call-to-Action (CTA):

Ready to unlock Brazil’s 5G future?

Dive deeper into the opportunities and roadblocks shaping scalable 5G deployment across SĂŁo Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, BrasĂlia, and beyond.

📊 Understand how VIVO, TIM, and CLARO are performing, uncover population density challenges, and discover how infrastructure planning can bridge the coverage gap.

Whether you're a regulator shaping policy, an operator building networks, or a tower company expanding your footprint—this report gives you the insights you need to make informed, strategic decisions in one of Latin America’s most dynamic markets.

In countries like the United States, China, and India, 5G deployment has accelerated rapidly. These nations have embraced strategic investments in infrastructure, regulatory clarity, and public-private collaboration — all essential ingredients for success.

- In the U.S., carriers like Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile are racing to deploy mid-band and mmWave 5G across cities and rural areas alike. With over 1,2 million base stations installed.

- In China, state-backed investment has led to the world's largest 5G network, with over 3 million base stations already deployed.

- And in India, despite its massive population and geographic diversity, telecom operators like Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel have launched aggressive 5G rollouts, covering hundreds of cities within months and more than 460 thousands of 5G base stations.

So where does Brazil stand?

Today, according to Anatel data, only 43 thousands of 5G base stations, in Brazil — compared to much higher penetration rates in those leading markets. While VIVO, TIM, and CLARO are making strides, especially in major cities like São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasília, and Goiânia, large portions of the country remain underserved.

Let’s look at some key numbers:

- In SĂŁo Paulo, yet 5G base stations remains limited to just 87% of the 4G base stations. According to Artifex Consulting LLC estimations, the MNOs requires an increase between 62 to 102 thousands base stations to guarantee indoor and outdoor coverage.

- In contrast, Porto Seguro, a popular tourist destination, shows the 5G base stations remain limited to just 33% of the 4G base stations. Porto Seguro will need between 938 and 1474 new 5G base stations to offers indoor and outdoor coverage.

These figures tell us something powerful: Brazil has both the demand and the density to support scalable 5G networks — but we’re not deploying at scale fast enough.

At Artifex Consulting, we’ve analyzed these dynamics closely. Our recent report, “The 5G Coverage Challenge in Brazil: Opportunities and Obstacles for Scalable Deployment”, provides actionable insights into how Brazil can close the gap with global leaders.

We believe Brazil has everything it needs to lead Latin America in 5G adoption. What we need now is vision, coordination, and execution.

Let’s not wait for the future. Let’s build it — together.
